Tomato Bisque E-mail

 

TOMATO BISQUEIngredients: 4 c. milk1/2 small onion, chopped6 cloves1/2 bay leafSprig of parsley3/4 c. dry bread crumbs2 c. tomatoes2 tsp. sugar1 1/2 tsp. salt1/8 tsp. pepper3 Tbsp. butterScald milk with onion, spices, parsley and bread crumbs, press through a sieve or mix in a blender. Cook tomatoes and sugar together 15 min, press through sieve. Add seasonings and butter. Combine the two mixtures by adding the tomato SLOWLY to the milk. Serve at once with croutons or crisp crackers. Serves 6.
