ONION RINGSIngredients: 6 medium Bermuda or white onions, sliced 1/4" thick2 c. milk or beer3 eggsAll-purpose flourSeparate onion slices into rings. Combine milk (or beer) and eggs, beat thoroughly and pour into shallow pan for dipping. Drop onion rings into liquid, swish around until well coated. Shake slightly over pan to drain, then drop in flour, coating each well. Place in wire basket, not more than 1/4 full. Deep fry at 375F, separating rings once while frying. When golden, remove from deep fryer and drain on paper towels. Serve hot, sprinkled lightly with salt. Serves 8. |
